From experimental feminist films to queer documentary, this mini film festival is a rare chance to watch and revisit some of the most influential LGBTQ+ films that chronicled a cultural revolution. Held at Shibuya Eurolive, the screenings run from April 25 to April 28 and they are complemented with talks from curators Isabelle Alfonsi, Koichiro Osaka and Orlan Ohtonen. Titles to look forward to include both Japanese and international features such as ‘Paris is Burning’, 'Lola' and ‘Bambi’, which will be screened in Japan for the first time for Q(WE)R.
