Time Out says

One of the biggest international short film festivals in Asia returns to Tokyo and Yokohama in June, taking place at Omotesando Hills Space O, Laforet Museum Harajuku, Itscom Studio & Hall, Ebisu's Act Square, Hikarie Hall, the Andaz Studio at Andaz Tokyo and Yokohama's Brillia throughout the month. A total of more than 9,000 films from over 140 countries competed for entry into the main programme, themed 'Cinematic Cinematec', and around 250 of these contestants will be screened during the festival. Outside of competition, you can look forward to programmes featuring the best of Cannes 2016 and several other international film festivals, plus a bundle of diversity-focused flicks under the 'Shibuya Diversity' moniker. Best of all, practically all events and viewings are free, so there's no stopping you from taking in the best of mini-movies from all over the world. Most films are screened either in English or with English subtitles – the full programme can be viewed here, while tickets can be booked via Peatix.
