Shakespeare's The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream provide the inspiration for the newest production by New York's Metropolitan Opera, which is being screened via the company's MET in HD series after premiering to favourable reviews last month. The Enchanted Island's mish-mash of a story – which unites characters from the Bard's two plays – is paralleled in the choice of music, including arias and ensembles by Baroque composers such as Vivaldi, Handel and Rameau. The impressive cast features the likes of David Daniels, Joyce DiDonato and Plácido Domingo, in what is apparently his 136th role. Also screening at Tougeki Theatre (from 7pm) and Movix Akishima (from 10am)
