Time Out says

Known as The Woman, Ukraine-born Svetlana Geier was considered the world's most masterful translator of Russian literature into German, and Dostoyevsky's novel The 5 Elephants is one of her best works. This documentary traces her fascinating and dramatic life story working as a German interpreter during the turbulent times of the Nazi occupation, allowing us to witness her wilful determination that juxtaposes with the tranquil world of translation. The movie won two prizes at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, and is also shown at Cinem@rt Roppongi now.
