Stuck on Takeshita-dori this August? Sounds terrible, but hey: this year, anyone braving the city's most kawaii-infested piece of street can get a free face painting for their trouble. Head straight for the Daiso store, found around the middle of the road, to choose your favourite pattern and wait as the staff recreate it on your skin. The colours are apparently all-natural and very durable – perfect if you're planning a long day of shopping in Harajuku and want to really look the part.
