Mottainai Kids' Flea Market

An ongoing project aimed at teaching the next generation about ecological sustainability and waste reduction, this kids-only flea market has been held over 250 times over the years. A part of the Mottainai Campaign started by Kenyan Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, it encourages young 'uns to bring their old toys, stationery and other belongings to be passed on to the next user, and teaches participants how to handle money, put a price on goods and so on. It's educational, eco-friendly and fun, so make sure to stop by with your offspring in between rides at the Toshimaen amusement park.
