Time Out says

Chiba's National Museum of Japanese History looks back at the development of Japanese-German relations with this extensive exhibit that goes beyond the obvious commonalities of manufacturing prowess, economic growth patterns and World War II history. Shining a light on issues like the establishment of relations between Prussia and Edo Japan, Japan's use of Germany as a model for its political and educational systems, and the reconstruction of ties after the war, the display tells a comprehensive story with the help of historical posters, caricatures, postcards and other documents. Many of the more controversial aspects of German-Japanese ties are highlighted as well.
