Black Lips & Vivian Girls

Time Out says

It's garage-rock girl band versus garage-rock boy band, as Brooklyn three-piece Vivian Girls share a bill with Atlanta 'flower punk' band Black Lips. Both groups draw a fair amount of inspiration from the sounds of the late-'60s Nuggets generation, though the Vivians inject a bit of Shangri-Las pop sweetness and lo-fi scuzz, while the Lips have become notorious for their unhinged live shows. This is the first show in a brief whip around the country, and they're supported by indie DJ group Twee Grrrls Club and Gellers, better known as Shugo Tokumaru's guitar band.
