Boredoms

It's hard to fathom that Boredoms have been going for over quarter of a century now, even if leader Yamataka Eye is the only link between the band's splattered noise-punk past and their psychedelic drum circle present. Boredoms have scaled back their live show a little since conducting an ensemble of 111 drummers in Byron Bay, Australia on – when else? – November 11, 2011. However, their first Tokyo show since last year's I'll Be Your Mirror festival still promises to be impressive, with over a dozen guitarists and five drummers taking part.
