David T Walker

Sideman to the likes of Herbie Hancock, Marlena Shaw and Quincey Jones, soul guitarist David T Walker has amassed a 2,500-strong discography in the course of his career as a bandleader and session musician. As with a fair few others in his generation, he's been enjoyed renewed interest in Japan recently, thanks in part to his stint as a support musician for J-pop group Dreams Come True. His latest trip to Tokyo will probably find the crystal-toned guitar wrangler straddling a range of genres, but you can expect the vibe to remain pretty damn mellow throughout.
