Time Out says

A Red Bull Music Academy-produced documentary series about Japanese video game music, Diggin’ in the Carts explores how 8-bit tunes (or 'chiptunes') conquered the pop culture world on the back of iconic games including Metroid, Tetris, Street Fighter and Sonic The Hedgehog. The impressive series has now been turned into a compilation album, set to be released shortly on London-based dubstep and bass label Hyperdub. Liquidroom now welcomes a star-studded lineup to celebrate that release, with legendary game composers Chip Tanaka (Mother, Metroid, Super Mario Land etc) and Osamu Sato (LSD) set to be joined by historian and chiptune musician Hally, Tokyo techno superstars Ken Ishii and Gonno and Hyperdub headman Kode9 in the booth. If you're even vaguely familiar with any of those names, you owe it to yourself to attend this one.
