Bassist and singer Esperanza Spalding heads back to Japan as Emily’s D+Evolution, her latest musical project, which received positive reviews at last year’s Tokyo Jazz Festival. She’s been working with record producer Tony Visconti, who also worked on David Bowie’s Blackstar album, so you can look forward to a rock-pop edge added to her sound.
