Japan's greatest Queen tribute act – and yes, there's a surprising amount of competition for that title – is undoubtedly Gueen. Led by the irrepressible Yoshinori 'Freddie' Hatae, these spandex-clad rockers have been worshipping at the altar of the Bohemian rhapsodes since 1990, though they only tend to play a few shows each year. Their annual Christmas gig at O-East is sure to be raucous, ludicrous fun, but it also has a serious purpose: a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the AIDS charity set up following Freddie Mercury's death in 1991.
