Hikashu/Urbangarde

Never mind that new wave survivors Hikashu stopped being a technopop band circa 1981 – they still seem to find themselves on bills such as this one. As they prepare to take new album Uragoe on tour around the country, the 'pataphysical rock' quintet will be playing alongside '80s-fixated youngsters Urbangarde, whose theatrical antics never entirely distract from how retrograde their tongue-in-cheek synthpop is.
