The latest edition of Hostess Club Weekender, the two-day indie celebration that first started in 2012 and has found a permanent home at Shin-Kiba's Studio Coast, welcomes Frank Black's alt rock greats Pixies to headline this first 2017 edition. In addition to the Boston outfit scratching and screaming their way through selections from their four classic albums, you can look forward to dirty, sexy blues, stuttering, no-wave disco and art pop from singer Alison Mosshart and guitarist Jamie Hince (plus their trusty drum machine) as The Kills. Psychedelia-influenced London Mods Little Barrie, abrasive Scottish post-punk foursome Girl Band and prodigious Long Island teenagers The Lemon Twigs should be worth catching as well.
