Time Out says

The dreamy synthesizers, the indistinct vocals, the cheap drum machines: it's hard to say exactly what makes Jesse Ruins' music so appealing, but it's managed to earn the Japanese producer hat-tips from numerous indie blogs around the globe this year. Having cultivated an aura of anonymity thus far, he's finally breaking cover for this debut live show to mark the release of new 7" A Bookshelf Sinks Into the Sand (whose limited 300-edition run has probably already sold out by now, but never mind). Expect similarly gauzy '80s excursions from pop duo Faron Square, with a sizable bevy of DJs to keep the assembled chillwavers bobbing 'til dawn.
