One of John Cage’s most anarchic works, Musicircus invites artists from a range of disciplines to perform simultaneously in the same space. Sound poet Tomomi Adachi, a regular interpolator of the composer's work, will be conducting a rendition of the piece in Adachi Market this Saturday, and it promises to be chaos of the highest order. There are some 200 artists due to take part, ranging from rakugo performers to gamelan musicians to iconic experimental musician Keiji Haino. Note that the show will be postponed to Sunday in case of rain.
