Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry

Fabled dub reggae producer and all-round eccentric Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry has picked some interesting collaborators in the past, not least when he enlisted hard-rockin' party monster Andrew W.K. to produce one of his albums. Few of his creative trysts have proved quite as inspired as this year's The Orbserver in the Star House, in which he gangs up with pioneering UK electronic duo The Orb to create a rather marvellous slab of ambient dub. Don't expect any attempts to recreate it live when Perry heads to October this year, mind you: he'll be performing with his regular band, on a bill that also features local dub voyagers Arakajime Kimerareta Koibitotachi e and Preparation Set.
