Lite

When this instrumental quartet hooked up with Chicago heavyweight John McEntire to record their 2010 mini-album, Illuminate, it couldn't have felt more appropriate. Though Lite's early material showed a clear infatuation with the math-rock dexterity of Battles, they've since drifted closer to the musical orbit of McEntire's most famous bands, Tortoise and The Sea and Cake. Last year's For All the Innocence album incorporated keyboards and a newfound jazziness, while new single 'Arch' finds them hooking up with Mice Parade vocalist Caroline – just one of the guests lined up for this headlining show at Liquidroom.
