Marewrew & Special Others

The first time Time Out heard Marewrew was in a spine-tingling twilight set with Oki Dub Ainu Band at Hokkaido's Rising Sun Rock Festival a few years ago. The Ainu vocal quartet first got together for Oki's No-One's Land album in 2002, but it wasn't until February this year that they finally performed in Tokyo, sharing the stage with pop songstress UA. For their second trip to the capital, they're inviting jam band Special Others to play an acoustic set – and, we presume, to reprise their recent collaboration, 'Iyomante Ubobo'.
