Time Out says

Though he's still just 25, Ohio guitarist Mark McGuire already has over 40 albums, limited-edition CDRs and cassettes to his name – and that's before you factor in the dozens of releases he's cut with his band Emeralds. On last year's Get Lost album, released on the (relatively) high profile Editions Mego label, the DIY scene figurehead crafted one of his most immediate efforts to date, weaving electronic effects with looped and processed guitar to create a sonic heir to the work of Robert Fripp and Brian Eno or The Durutti Column's Vini Reilly. Perhaps McGuire's prolific output explains why it's taken him so long to make it to Tokyo, but his debut show here promises to be worth the wait, with guest appearances by spine-tingling songstress Ichiko Aoba and guitarist Shinji Masuko, of Boredoms and DMBQ fame.
