Akihabara comes to Shibuya this weekend, at a two-day gig that brings together a selection of leftfield idol groups, geek-friendly DJs and other artists looking to capitalise on the current otaku boom. Friday's lineup includes Vocaloid DJ RE:NDZ a.k.a Kz, long-running electro-rock duo Hondalady and increasingly prolific idol troupe Dempagumi Inc. The latter group are also appearing on Saturday, when they'll be joined by fellow alt. idols BiS and – more curiously – rappers Cider Kaseki and Illreme.
