Cirque du Soleil's bombastic, officially endorsed tribute to the King of Pop was the highest grossing US tour of 2011, and has since alighted in nearly 20 other countries, raking in close to US$200 million in the process. It's more likely to appeal to fans of Jacko (which is everyone, right?) than the Cirque, whose acrobatic skills are under-utilised in the course of a slickly choreographed show featuring dozens of songs from the singer's back catalogue. The Immortal makes its Japan debut this month, with dates in Saitama, Yokohama, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Osaka.
