Michiyo Yagi Trio – Special Edition

Ever-inventive koto player Michiyo Yagi likes to perform in a wide variety of contexts (you can catch her at a mass improv session with Joe McPhee and others at SuperDeluxe next week, for instance), but this concert at Shibuya jazz venue Koen-Dori promises to provide a particularly good setting for her talents. The 'special edition' of Yagi's regular trio swaps out the usual bassist in favour of avant-garde cellist Hugues Vincent, with the talented Tamaya Honda on drums.
