The organisers of Neutralnation claim to have no interest in prevailing trends or fashions – hence the 'neutral' of the title. All lies, if you ask us: the first two editions of this inner-city music fest have demonstrated impeccably good taste, pairing a lone international act (Mice Parade in 2009, Gang Gang Dance in 2010) with a selection of homegrown electronica, post-rock and alternative acts. 2011 looks set to continue the trend: so far, we've got American beatmaker Prefuse 73 with Japanese stadium dance-rockers Boom Boom Satellites, post-jazz group Mouse on the Keys, motorik girl trio Nisennenmondai and Tha Blue Herb producer O.N.O in his solo guise.
