New Cool Collective

Formed in 1994 by saxophonist Benjamin Herman, New Cool Collective have finally come of age in their native Netherlands – hence the title of their latest album, Eighteen. The group will be bringing their energetic brand of grooviness to Fuji Rock Festival this weekend, but first they're hitting the Blue Note for two nights of gigs. Will the audience at the plush sit-down venue manage to stay seated throughout? Doubtful.
