Not Squares

Formed in 2008 to address the lack of party bands in their native Belfast, trio Not Squares ally squelching analogue synthesizers with pummeling live drums and barked vocals, creating an infectious racket that occasionally recalls The Rapture and LCD Soundsystem at their most raucous. If last year's Yeah OK is anything to go by, their Tokyo date this weekend should be pretty full-on – though you'll be able to unwind to the bucolic post-rock sounds of tour buddies Miaou first.
