Over the past couple of years, De De Mouse has graduated from niche electronica producer to become one of the most widely feted laptop-wielders in the country. It probably helps that his sugary melodies and wistful vocal cut-ups wouldn't sound out of place in a video game or anime series – and indeed, the artwork for last year's A Journey to Freedom album was supplied by Final Fantasy character designer Akihiko Yoshida. Mainstream success comfortably achieved, the producer is pushing the envelope with his latest live event, which promises an unprecedented blend of audio and visuals (complete with a pricey pay-per-view Ustream broadcast). De De Mouse will perform live with drummers Jimanica and Ken Higeshiro, with VJs Rokapenis and Takashi Yamaguchi supplying the eye candy. Support comes from DJ Baku and Joseph Nothing Orchestra, and Ametsub and Geskia! will be spinning in the second room.
