2010 saw the revival of Organic Groove, who’ll be rounding off the year with a performance by a few select individuals from ‘Club d’Elf’(an improv’ band, or ‘club’ – as they commonly refer to themselves – with over 100 members): Mike Rivard (Club d’Elf’s front man) on bass, John Medeski (Medeski, Martin & Wood) on keyboards, Steven Bernstein (Sex Mob) on trumpet, David Fiuczynski (Screaming Headless Torsos) on guitar and the incredible (although still relatively unknown) Dean Johnston on drums. Note that, Club d’Elf will be making a special commemorative edition of their new album, ‘Electric Moroccoland’, available in Japan at the earlier release date of Wednesday December 8.
