Seriously, how many good groups can you possibly have in a single borough? No, you don't have to answer that. Parts & Labor are yet another Really Good Band from Brooklyn, but don't hold it against them – they've been at it for nearly ten years now, refining their blend of punishing noise and pop-grade songwriting. On the first date in a short Japan tour, the trio are playing alongside a host of rock-solid local acts, starting with electro-hardcore group Wrench and running through the post-punk of Limited Express (has gone?), the no/new-wave of Vovivav, the psychedelic scuzz of Noinone and beyond.
