LA-based trip hop DJ and tune artist Ryan Hemsworth builds beats under a thick and everpresent fog of fumes. Alone For The First Time, the Canadian's sophomore album, spun psychedelic swirls of synths and trap rhythms, with just the right dose of eerie paranoia, while remixes for the likes of Kanye West, Frank Ocean and Cat Power haven't done Hemsworth any harm in terms of name recognition. This return to Unit should be a cracker, especially as a new album is rumoured to be in the pipeline.
