SOFA Night

A bastion of improvised music for the past decade, Norway's SOFA label will be assembling an impressive lineup of local and international players at SuperDeluxe on April 17. Chief among the attractions is a duo between video artist Kjell Bjørgeengen and veteran tabletop guitarist Keith Rowe, whose pioneering work in AMM helped pave the way for today's improv scene. The duo – who are playing together for the first time in Japan – will be joined by microtonal tuba trio Microtub and percussive guitarist Kim Myhr, with Tetuzi Akiyama and Toshimaru Nakamura representing the home side.
