The tenth edition of Sumida Ward's weekend jazz summit sees performances spread across 30-odd indoor and outdoor stages in Kinshicho and nearby Oshiage – all of them completely free. The main stage is in Kinshi Park, just north of Kinshicho Station.
Most of the names on the bill – aside from the headliners – might only be familiar to the city's diehard jazz lovers, but the prospect of discovering so much music in the space of a single afternoon – and paying absolutely nothing for the privilege – makes this a great event for jazz enthusiastics of all stripes.
