The Chieftains

The Beach Boys aren't the only musical icons celebrating their 50th birthday this year: Paddy Moloney's indomitable troupe of traditional Irish musicians have also reached the half century mark. The Chieftains enlisted a lineup of guests including Bon Iver and Paolo Nutini for this year's Voice of Ages album, but they won't be needing any celebrity support for their upcoming Japan tour. The ten-date jaunt kicks off with this show at Bunkamura Orchard Hall, with another gig pencilled in at Sumida Triphony Hall later in the month.
