The king of the skater musicians is hitting Tokyo with a bevy of likeminded pals in tow. Tommy Guerrero left behind a career in pro skateboarding in 1995, but he swiftly found another one in music. Now onto his fifth album of groovy, downtempo instrumentals – this year's Lifeboats and Follies – Guerrero arrives in the company of fellow musical 'boarders Ray Barbee, Matt Rodriguez and Chuck Treece, a.k.a. Blktop Project. The gig will start with a solo set, then the assembled players will see where things go from there.
