White White Sisters

With Boom Boom Satellites lost in a mire of glossy stadium rock-isms, it's been left to this Nagoya duo to pick up the baton. White White Sisters – that's Kazumasa Ishii on drums and Yuya Matsumura on guitar, vocals and electronic gubbins – play a propulsive, stupendously loud brand of dance-rock that's not unlike BBS in their prime. It's already taken them to America's SXSW festival, and – if they play their cards right – should have them gracing some far larger stages pretty soon. Support comes from retro garage rockers Droog, gothy duo Loveless and electronica boffin De De Mouse – complete with live drummer.
