WWW 2nd Anniversary

Here at Time Out, we're rather fond of WWW, the live music space that occupies the former home of Shibuya's arthouse-centric Cinema Rise. Part of its appeal can be summed up in the fact that they'd choose bands such as these two to help celebrate the venue's 2nd anniversary, rather than opt for more obvious – and obviously commercial – acts. Saturday night's gig (the Japanese title for which literally translates as 'waves of impressions') enlists Para (pictured) – the proggy, groove-based ensemble helmed by ex-Boredoms guitarist Seiichi Yamamoto – and artsy songstress Eiko Ishibashi, who'll be performing with her Mou-Shinda-Hitotachi band, featuring Jim O'Rourke and others.
