French producer Yuksek is hardly the first musician to have found lyrical inspiration in the hardships of life on the road – but rather than grumble about the experience of touring debut album Away from the Sea, he used it more positive effect. The songs on sophomore record Living on the Edge of Time may deal with isolation and loneliness, but these themes are packaged in electropop nuggets so infectious, you might not even notice the underlying melancholy. Don't expect any moping on the dancefloor when Yuksek plays the first of two Tokyo shows at Duo Music Exchange, which is followed by an all-nighter over at WWW.
