Last year’s Pokemon doughnuts were such a hit that Japanese doughnut chain Mister Donut had to bring them back again this year – with two new additions. The popular Pikachu Doughnut (¥240) is no different from last year, made with a banana flavored dough, coated in chocolate and stuffed with whipped cream. The new Pon de Monsterball (¥180), however, is a remake of the chain's signature Pon De Ring doughnut: it's now coated in white chocolate and strawberry glaze to look like a Poke Ball. Pikachu’s Tail (¥180) is the other new item in the lineup, a custard-filled banana flavored french crueler coated in yellow chocolate.

To complement the doughnuts, Pokemon tapioca sodas (¥590) will also be available in muscat, peach and lychee flavours, each taking after the colour of the three starter Pokemon in the recently released video game 'Pokémon Sword and Shield'.
