Batica 5th Anniversary

Having put on its first party mere weeks after 3.11, the spring 2011 opening of laidback Ebisu club Batica passed without much fanfare – for obvious reasons. Since then, the joint has nonetheless built up a decent reputation with its many underground-focused parties and diverse clientele, and now celebrates five years in business with two consecutive nights of all-out action. Kickoff is at 6pm on Friday, with the lineup ranging from local hip hop greats (Dabo, ECD, Illicit Tsuboi) to aspiring idols and young DJ guns. On Saturday, you'll be able to look forward to more experimental stuff courtesy of Koncos, Riddimates, DJ Soichiro Tanaka and company. If you've had enough of the usual clubs, why not head to Ebisu over the weekend?
