An experimental project founded by Paul Purgas and James Ginzburg to explore the relationship between sound and space – and to create some of the most intricate and captivating bass-based soundscapes you'll ever hear – Emptyset are taking over the house at Contact. Famed for their site-specific installations at places such as London's Tate Modern and a decommissioned nuclear power plant, the duo have earned rave reviews for new album Borders, which further refined the Bristol boys' fusion of pounding beats, Berlin-esque techno and meditative ambient.
