Time Out says

The Tokyo Edition, Toranomon boasts one of the best views of the city skyline with Tokyo Tower looming large at the front. The hotel's swanky Lobby Bar is the hottest place in the city to catch up over cocktails, but the sky-high venue also offers an afternoon tea set for when you're feeling indulgent. With countless plants filling the space, it's easy to feel like you've been transported to a lush tropical resort as you relax on lavish sofas, cocooned away from other diners (and chatter).

This season, the hotel is offering an exclusive afternoon tea menu in collaboration with the world's oldest leather goods house, La Maison Delvaux: the Delvaux Afternoon Tea. The menu is inspired by the luxury brand's latest collection which references the surrealist Belgian artist René Magritte.

You'll recognise the artist's influence in the miniature desserts like the Belgian chocolate mousse Bowler Hat, as well as in the scones, which have baked apple pieces. Lemon curd tartlets are dressed up as Magritte's Masked Apples, whereas a Belgian speculoos biscuit with a silhouette of a bird is a nod to Magritte's recurring depiction of clouds against a blue sky. The motif ties in nicely with the Tokyo skyline that you can gaze upon from the Lobby Bar.

The savoury bites are also reminiscent of Magritte's works, with a light green colour palette to match his many masterpieces featuring green apples. The menu always includes unlimited refills of tea and coffee, but canapés like the cucumber mint gazpacho could taste even better when paired with the optional glass of Ruinart Blanc de Blanc.
