Time Out says

Kanijennu, located in the heart of Ginza, specialises in delectable crab dishes. The restaurant is run by Qraud, which is also behind many renowned kappo (intimate counter-style) restaurants around Osaka and Tokyo. Only set course menus are offered here, featuring fresh crab dishes prepared in several ways including raw sashimi-style, charcoal grilled and even in shabu shabu hotpot. The best part is that each table gets its own chef, so you can watch them prepare your meal right before your eyes.

The Matsubagani course includes a crab bisque and hassun (a tray with multiple appetisers using ingredients from land and sea) to start while the chef prepares the crab for the main course. When you’re finished with your starters, you’ll get to enjoy seven delicious crab dishes including raw sashimi you dip into soy sauce, charcoal grilled crab with a ponzu dipping sauce, crab heart with kani miso (a miso-like paste derived from the crab itself), deep fried crab with ankake (thick savoury sauce made with dashi), boiled shabu shabu-style hotpot with kani miso and more.

Kanijennu Ginza currently offers four different course options (from ¥29,700) featuring fresh crabs imported from Niigata, Tottori and Hokkaido prefectures, however, the selection can change depending on what’s in season.
