Oxomoco is the Tokyo outpost of the popular Brooklyn-based – and Michelin-starred – Mexican restaurant. Start with the guacamole (¥980) and a frozen margarita (¥850), then work your way through tostadas, tacos, mole and more. Flavours are a fresh and punchy mix, such as the refreshing flatfish crudo with lime and herbs (¥1,600), lightly fried beef tartare with grasshopper mayonnaise (¥1,650), and grilled chicken with spiced red rice and black beans (¥2,400). You could also opt for the lunch set menu (¥2,400, four courses) or dinner set menu (¥5,000, six courses plus dessert).
Located on the first floor of Hiroo’s lively new Eat Play Works dining hall, Oxomoco is a restaurant stand. Take a seat at one of the seven spots overlooking the counter, or order at the restaurant then find a seat outside on the first-floor terrace, and staff will bring your meal to you.
