You've probably had shabu-shabu before, but an oyster version of the hot pot dipping dish might be a new experience even for experienced gourmands. Try it at Cave De Oyster in Yaesu, where this summer special is offered until July 9. You'll be cooking oysters one by one in boiling water before dipping them into radish ponzu sauce, egg yolk soy sauce or corn dressing. Each set costs ¥2,980 (plus tax) and comes with six fresh oysters and seasonal vegetables, which can then be combined with some sake or wine.
