Paulownia timber has long been used in Japan for a wide range of purposes, including furniture and household items. The Paulownia in Daily Life exhibition shows visitors how this traditional material can be used to create beautiful, modern, and convenient items, drawing on the expertise of craftsmen from Kasukabe in Saitama. As paulownia is very resistant to moisture and bacteria, it is well suited for items such as lunch boxes and table surfaces. Visitors can view a variety of designs at this exhibition, and some of the items are also for sale in the gallery.
