Time Out says

Odaiba’s event space next to DiverCity Tokyo Plaza is hosting a two-day event focusing on extreme sports, street culture and music. Here you can participate in about 30 different kinds of sports: skateboarding (a new addition to the Tokyo 2020 games), BMX, street basketball, double dutch, inline skating, yoga and more. Top athletes will be here to demonstrate their skills in a series of live showcases, and also to guide any novices who are thinking of venturing into these sport activities.

For the first time this year, Chimera Games Vol. 6 will feature a tournament of the four most popular street sports – skateboarding, BMX street/park, BMX flatland and inline skating. Athletes from all over the world are welcome to participate, and if you’ve got the skills, submit your application at the official website. Do note that there’s an entry fee (open category ¥10,000, amateur ¥5,000, junior ¥3,000) but we’re sure the prize money, which amounts to ¥12,000,000 in total, will be enough to entice some of the best talents around to turn this into a mind-blowing tournament.

To boost up the festivities, Chimera Games will also feature a food and drink zone, plus live performances by a diverse line-up of local bands including Fire Ball, Mighty Crown, J-Rexxx Band and The Cherry Coke$.
