Time Out says

Tokyo International Players is putting on Broadway’s most outrageous puppet show to see you through winter. This satirical comedy takes place in the devoutly religious small town of Cypress, Texas, where Jason joins a Christian Puppet Ministry following the death of his father. At first, Jason finds an outlet in his newfound talent for puppetry, but things take a dark turn when his sock puppet Tyrone quickly goes from being shy and amicable like Jason, to borderline demonic with its vulgar dialogue, disturbing everyone Jason encounters. The town is turned to disarray as its religious hypocrisy is viciously challenged, along with Jason’s relationships with his mother, love interest, and pastor. ‘Hand to God’ is riotously funny throughout as it cunningly explores the ever-changing nature of our faith, morality and relationships.

Note: Due to explicit language and adult content, this play is suggested for mature audiences aged 16 and up.
