Time Out says

Avantgarde opera comes to the New National Theatre in the form of this cyberpunk meditation on the friendship between human children and an android. In the futuristic world of ‘Super Angels’, children who reach the age of 15 are subjected to an aptitude test and placed under the supervision of ‘Mother’, an all-powerful artificial intelligence. The choral singing of the children advances the story, which centres on an android called Alter 3. Supervised and conducted by Kazushi Ono, written by Masahiko Shimada and featuring music by Keiichiro Shibuya, the man behind ‘android opera’ ‘Scary Beauty’ and Hatsune Miku's ‘vocaloid opera’ ‘The End’, ‘Super Angels’ will be performed in Japanese with English subtitles. The show is co-presented by the Japan Cultural Expo.

Note: The dates and hours of this event may change due to the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak. Please see the official website for the latest details.
