The 52nd floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower is not just a great place to enjoy splendid aerial views of our concrete jungle, it also hosts temporary exhibitions, such as this showcase focusing on locomotive.

The country's railway companies each operate their own museum, but many of them including Japan Railways, Tokyo Metro and the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation have came together for this special exhibition. There are several train-related items such as name plates, timetables and uniforms, as well as a recreation of a station and ticket gates dating back to the time when Japan’s national rail network was still operated by JNR (Japanese National Railways; from 1949 to 1987).

Aside from augmented reality experiences, movie screenings and a life-size train made from cardboards, you'll also find a photo exhibition by train photographer Seiya Nakai.
